Cisco Systems, Inc. is an American multinational technology conglomerate headquartered in San Jose, California, in the center of Silicon Valley. Cisco develops, manufactures and sells networking hardware, software, telecommunications equipment and other high-technology services and products.
The Brand Service was tasked with the special project of visual communication design for the incorporation of, and partnership with Epic Systems, a healthcare software company who’s software is used to hold medical records of 54% of patients in the United States, allowing 250 million patients indirectly interact with Epic through Cisco infrastructure.

The challenge
Epic Systems is a software infrastructure service that any medical institution can choose to implement into their system-wide patent portal. All existing institutions have their own various applications, hardware and backend-logistics in place, so potential buyers need to see the long-term benefits that Cisco can provide.
The solution
We started with focusing on the benefits that Cisco UCS will provide to customers. The most marketable aspect of the new system, we found, was the cost savings provided by system-wide efficiencies, and how that will effect the bottom line.
Informed by our research, we created multiple infographic campaigns that could be printed in a large format or shared on the web. Our rollout involved creating many pieces of print and digital collateral, including a "Roadmap” series of booklets were designed and distributed to aid in-person sales as well as direct mail.
The results
The Brand Service was able to rapidly create nationwide campaigns that allowed Cisco to directly target medical institutions, and communicate complex details in an easily digestible way.
Bottom line: Custom campaigns with easily understandable, complex information created in record time, tailored to specific audiences.

The Epic on Cisco Playbook
Our initial campaign was public facing, and therefore lacked the in-depth, long-form information that would speak to C-level executives and medical professionals.
The Epic on Cisco Playbook, reinforced by thorough research, data provided by Cisco and Epic, and custom visual aids, was used to present large amounts of information in an efficient amount of time, and allow complex infrastructure to be easily digestible by an audience of varied professions.

As part of our rollout, we worked with Cisco to create a custom video advertisement that covers the benefits of incorporating Cisco USC into existing hardware and infrastructure. Our process involved creating custom illustrations, working with voice actors, and demonstrating Cisco’s benefits through animation.
